The fest resumed on its second day, August 15, 2019. Planned out events were exciting, informative, and interesting, helping students to create memories and gain new insights while constantly being surrounded by technology, modernization, and innovation.

GDAP Roadshow
The day began with its first event in the MPH 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The seminars were conducted in partnership with the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP). Speakers were invited to talk about the gaming industry. James Lo from Taktyl Studios fronted the Getting into the Game Industry talk, followed by GDAP’s State of the Philippine Game Industry. Finally, Tobi Abad, also from Taktyl Studios, led the discourse titled, “Motivation + Learning = Epic Win.” During the seminars, a representative from GDAP introduced interesting events such as Game On! These allowed the students to create games while giving them a chance to present their work during the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS).
Cypher
Next came the game called Cypher which took place in the cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event was hosted by the officers of the Junior Information Systems Security Association (JISSA). The hosts encouraged everyone to join, having them decode a phrase or a word with the provided letters, numbers, and patterns. It proved to be a real challenge, pressuring participants and making them utilize their critical thinking and pattern recognition skills.

Microsoft Roadshow: Cognitive Services
The Microsoft Roadshow continues, being held once more in the school auditorium, transpired from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The talk’s topic revolved around something new, informing students more about Cognitive Services. Delivered by Christopher Misola, the Lead Internet of Things (IoT) Software Engineer and Product Development at Packetworx, the talk introduced cognitive services to the audience and demonstrated how mixed reality works using Microsoft HoloLens.
UNMASKED
Another seminar called Unmasked was held in the auditorium from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Major Gil Tario, Assistant Chief of Staff of Plans, C5 AFP cyber group, discussed Internet Security in IoT. He also showed some of the possible devices that could be hacked by cybercriminals, giving them unauthorized access to the company’s system.

Fame or Shame
The day was wrapped up with a contest in the auditorium called Fame or Shame from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants were asked to make a 30-second long performance. In the spirit of the event, four different SoCIT organization presidents also partook in the event. There was a lot of talent in the competition, but there could only be one champion who was none other than Louie Cortero. He was captivating in his spoken word poetry.
